I am going to be one of them!
You might think from my exclamation mark that I am very excited about this. This may or may not be true. I thought it would be kind of fun to have glasses, especially since I don’t have to wear them all the time if I don’t want to. But then I went and tried on a bunch of pairs and didn’t love any of them. Some were ok. Some I hated. None made me think, “Yes, I would like to have these attached to my face all the time.” But I think it was mostly because I’m not used to seeing my face with glasses. Also, they had just put these crazy drops in my eyes that made my pupils HUGE, so I looked like some weird anime character. I still do, actually. It looks like I’ve done mad drugs today. Sadly, I have not.
So I’m going to spend the next couple of weeks browsing and trying on 8 million pairs of glasses until I find one that I love. I can’t decide if I want to go with clear/rimless/light metal ones, to fool people into not noticing I have glasses, or if I should just go with full out black-rimmed nerd glasses. I’m thinking the latter. Go big or go home.
