Ok, so the ending of But I’m A Cheerleader is basically the best ever. I know I overuse the phrase “basically the best ever,” but I mean it when I say it might be my favourite romantic movie ending. If you have an inkling that you may want to watch this movie someday and don’t want the ending ruined, DON’T WATCH THIS CLIP. Otherwise, watch it and swoon:
Some notes
1 – I wish I could just put on my cheerleading uniform and bust out my pom poms (I’ve got the latter in a box somewhere still) and make someone forget their hang ups and fall in love with me. Sigh…
2 – THE SONG IN THIS SCENE! OH MY GOD I CAN’T HANDLE IT. Whoever was the music supervisor for this movie deserves some kind of award. Heartstrings = pulled. (It’s “Glass Vase, Cello Case” by Tattle Tale. It’s not on iTunes and the original CD it came from is out of print and costs $100+ for a used copy. Luckily I found it on a retrospective for the far more reasonable price of $15.)
